wild_pair__judieJudith Fein is an award-winning international travel journalist who lives to leave. She resided for more than ten years in Europe and North Africa, and has a passion for everything exotic, authentic, adventurous, historic and quixotic. She has written travel articles for more than 75 magazines and newspapers including The L.A. Times, Robb Report, Art and Antiques, National Geographic Traveler, The Boston Globe, Golf Connoisseur, Hemispheres, Travel Agent Magazine, Intermezzo, The Dallas Morning News, New Mexico Magazine, AAA South Africa. She was a regular reporter for "The Savvy Traveler" on national public radio for 6 years and writes a regular column for Spirituality and Health magazine called "Transformative Travel."

On the road, Judith enjoys tracking down and writing about everything from traditional healers to the gastronomy of grasshoppers; from bone carving workshops to indigenous villages; from snorkeling in Micronesia to the lost tribes of Israel.

Judith was a successful Hollywood screenwriter for 12 years, and ran an acclaimed experimental theatre company in Europe for 8 years. Combining writing, performing, filmmaking and traveling skills, Fein and her husband Paul Ross (a travel journalist, photographer and videographer) make travel films and do travel "performances" that include informative talks, film, and often the food, music and dance of the country they are speaking about.

In 2007, Judith pioneered experiential travel writing workshops. Participants get to enjoy exotic travel, meet locals and natives, and then learn how to write about their experiences. Above all, Judith believes that travel and peace go hand in hand, and she delights in introducing travelers to places and people that will open their hearts to being part of a global community.

wild_pair__ellenEllen Barone did what many of us only dream of doing: at the age of 35, she traded a successful academic career for the wild blue yonder and set out to explore the world and herself. In the eight years since that intrepid decision, she has turned passion into profession, journeying to more than 60 countries in search of evocative images and life-enriching adventures.

A Fulbright teaching exchange to Scotland in the early nineties ignited a passionate and insatiable curiosity about the world, meeting new people and experiencing the unknown. That life-changing experience inspired the leap of faith has blossomed into an amazing life of discovery, global connections and creative pursuits.

Whether she’s sailing across the Atlantic, crossing the Sahara on camel, surfing Maui’s swells, dog sledding the Alaskan tundra, cycling the Sicilian coastline, eating scorpion in Singapore or hanging out in the tango bars of Buenos Aires, she strives for vivid photography and honest storytelling that inspires travelers to pack their bags and experience our blue planet for themselves.

As a freelance writer and photographer, her focus is on travel, adventure, unusual pursuits, photography, gadgetry and gear. Her work has appeared in National Geographic Adventure, Outside, Condé Nast Traveler, Islands, The Los Angeles Times Sunday Travel Section, Spa, and a wide variety of regional, national and international publications. In addition, she’s a gifted workshop teacher, photo tour leader, and author of several online columns offering advice and information for travelers.

Together with her husband Hank, she co-founded the freelance agency International Media Group a respected source for travel writing and photography source for magazines, newspapers and guidebooks.
