Croatia - The Dalmatian Coast - Jewel of the Adriatic |
An unforgettable blend of sea, mountains, woods and sweeping plains, modern Croatia was born of a thousand years of diverse history. European, Slavic, Roman and Byzantine influences merged to form
a unique and rich culture in the midst of splendid natural beauty. In the Middle Ages, Dubrovnik once rivaled Venice. A walled city set on the Adriatic, its maritime trade and wealth produced a sophisticated city state where the arts and sciences flourished. The old town of Star Grad is a marvel of medieval churches, fountains, and cobbled hills. In Split, the palace built by the Emperor Diocletian in the third century AD remains one of the world's most important historic buildings, a dazzling mix of Roman, Egyptian and Gothic styles.

| We did it, though there was never any doubt! Let me compliment you on all of the arrangements your company made. Everything worked smoothly. We were met when we were supposed to be, driven where needed and generally accommodated along the way. Superb all the way through. The jewel in the crown, to wax very corny, is Bagh Van. Saw two tigers on two separate occasions, one from elephant back and the other from the jeep. The owners, the clientele and the staff were helpful and fun. We even partied and joked with them one night.

Best to you and the rest of your magnificent staff |
